Any requests for schedule changes must be made by the parent/guardian in writing during the first 3 school days of each trimester and must be accompanied by an educational reason the change should be made. The principal will have the final decision about granting the schedule change and will consider factors including student conduct, grades, attendance, maximum class sizes, and class composition.

Ms. Kelly Dolwick

School Counselor

Ms. Dolwick is originally from Pike County, Kentucky. She graduated from Morehead State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in middle school education with an emphasis in reading and social studies. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in special education K-12. After teaching both regular education and special education, she completed her Master’s Degree and Rank I in School Counseling for grades K-12. Woodland Middle School has been her school home for over a decade! Please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Dolwick if you ever have any questions/concerns about your student.

Mrs. Rachel Retherford

School Counselor

Mrs. Retherford is from Erlanger, Kentucky. She graduated from Morehead State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching Theatre K-12. She taught Speech, Dance, and Drama for 9 years. She completed her Master of Education Arts in School Counseling grades K-12 from The University of the Cumberlands. This is her 13th year in education. Mrs. Chelsea Kern

School Counselor

Mrs. Kern is from Cincinnati, OH. She graduated from Wright State University in 2010 with a Bachelor's in Psychology. She worked in mental health before returning to school for her graduate degree. Mrs. Kern graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Master's in School Counseling in 2019. A former intern at Woodland, she's returned as a part-time counselor. Feel free to contact Mrs. Kern with any questions or concerns.

The Infinite Campus Parent Portal is open. The parent portal will allow you to view all of your children in the Kenton County School District, with one login. It will also allow you to request changes to phone numbers and address information.


If you do not have your Parent Portal key and would like to get it set up, please email the front office secretary Carole Benjamin with your name and your child's name.


Click the "Get In Touch" button below to email Mrs. Benjamin.


The information will be verified and we will email the portal key back to you.

A separate portal key is available to both guardians in the household.
